Hi, my name is Janet Caul and I'm from Blair, NE. I've been riding, training, and giving lessons for more than 25 yrs. My passion now is to ride for myself and to enjoy every time I'm able to be in the saddle.
My goal for 2014 is 100 miles. Last year was rough to reach that same goal, but I'm hoping this coming year will be better.
My horse Rocky, whom I've only had for a yr., is fantastic. With a new saddle, new GPS and a new year, I think we are good to go.

The storm of June 3 2014 will be remembered for a long time. Our homes were destroyed by baseball sized hail with 91 mi. an hr straight line winds in Blair. I was only able to get one ride in because of all the cleanup.

June was a lousy month for me for any kind of riding....in fact I was barely at the barn...poor Rocky...I sure hope July is better!
ReplyDeleteso far July hasn't been much better than June with barn time or any kind of riding; one good thing is the contractors have finally started the restoration!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad, I'm hurt, and I'm angry....I may be down, but I'm not out! Unfortunately, I am no longer a horse owner. I will, however, continue to ride whenever I can, even if it means taking lessons somewhere. So, I won't be posting miles regularly but if I'm allowed, I'd like to still post them when I get the opportunity to ride.
ReplyDeleteRode a real nice paint mare named Sierra at the Lawton Stables in the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island with my family. We are in Georgia for my granddaughters wedding so we had a family trail ride...first time ever and probably the last. It was beautiful and a ton of fun
