Heads Up Everyone!

Just a heads up everyone!   I am not planning on being the reporter for the Distance Derby next year. So I am looking for a volunteer to take over the Derby.   I will be happy to help someone else set it up and show them how to do the blog and the spreadsheet.  It has been such fun, but for the last month, it has been more of a chore then a joy, so it is time to pass it on :-)  Anyone interested?????? 

End of August Leaderboard

End of August Leaderboard is here and fall is in the air.  What a week of weather we had, wow!  I didn't get to ride much at all, but alot of people did.  Glad for ya'll :-)  September is here at last, and my next 4 weekends are loaded with riding.  YAY!!!  I also bought a new horse to do it all on so this month will be an exciting one for me.  Hope it is all you are looking forward to.  Please be sure to review your miles and make sure that I have everything accurate.  Thanks.  Happy Trails :-)

 

August 25th Leaderboard Update

August 25th Leaderboard Update leads off with another person joining the over 1000 mile club.  Congrats to Team 120 - Long Distance Rider.  It's been a busy week with lots of riding even with the extra hot weather.  Stay cool my friends :-)

August 18th Leaderboard Update

August 18th Leaderboard Update.  We now have Team 74 - Crazy Legs with over 1700 miles and Team 120 - Long Distance Rider with over 1000 miles.  We also have a rider coming really close to the 1K milage.  Congrats to everyone!!

August 11th Leaderboard Update.  I'm sitting in a hotel room, I am tired and I have lost this twice already.  So my cheerfulness is gone for now LOL  And this is what you get :-)

August 4th Leaderboard Update

First few days of August are gone and the weather has been pretty good her in Nebraska.  Lots of riding going on :-)  Keep it up all!

End of July Leaderboard

Here it is the long awaited end of July Leaderboard.  Sorry I am so late in getting this posting. Lots of mile stones this month.  Congrats to everyone who has been putting in all those miles.  Our own Team 74 - Crazy Legs is going to ride in the TEVIS Endurance ride this year.  The ride is August 7th at 5:00 am and ends on August 8th at 5:00 am.  http://www.teviscup.org/  For those of you not in the know, it is the "original" long distance ride here in the US and is still considered one of the hardest.  Read all about it and let's all give a cheer and support to Diane as she does this awesome ride!  You go girl!!  

July 21st Leaderboard Update

WOW, last week for NE was fantastic!  I could sure tell, because I had lots of miles to post :-)  This week......not so much.  Ah well, we knew we had to have summer some time.  Try to stay cool everyone!

July 14 Leaderboard

Wow, is this an awesome week to ride.  Weather in Nebraska is fantastic, get out there everyone and enjoy this great weather!  Congrats to Team 60 - Montana Spots for her 1st place in the Chicken Parade.  She came from Montana to Nebraska to meet some of us at Turkey Creek Ranch on Thursday and then went to the parade in Wayne NE on Sat.  Always awesome to meet other DD Riders :-)  

July 6 Leaderboard Update

First week of July is finished and it was a hot one!  I am trying to ride early in the morning to beat the heat, but somedays it is already hot at 8:00 am!  Hope ya'll can beat the heat as much as possible.  Take care of those horses  and stay cool :-)  Congrats to team 74 with over 1300 miles!

End of June Leaderboard

The half way point!!!  The year is already have over or only half over depending on how you look at it.  For me it can be both or either depending on the day :-)  I am going riding tomorrow so tomorrow it is ONLY half over :-)  Happy trails!

June 23rd Leaderboard Update

Well it has come and gone....yes the longest time of daylight has passed us by and the days are getting shorter again.  Some people got to ride that day, fantastic.  Keeping riding everyone.  My mare that was lame is now doing better and I rode her for the first time today since the middle of May!  Sure was nice.  Thanks to great friends, I did ride a little on other horses during that time, but it wasn't the same :-)  Hope there is lots more riding in our future together!  Happy Trails.

June 16 Leaderboard Update

Here is the June 16th Leaderboard Update.  This has been a tough week weatherwise, but there has been alot of riding anyway :-)  Happy to see that.  Congrats to Team 74 - Crazy Legs, on her 1200 miles!

June 9th Leaderboard Update

We had a beautiful weekend for the Branching Out Clinic and CTR here near Lincoln, NE.  I was the ride secretary and had a blast watching all my friends ride and have fun.  But I will tell ya, that I am oh sooo much more tired then I have every been doing the ride myself.  That management stuff is tuff LOL.

End of May Leaderboard

Here it is the end of May and the beginning of June....June the month of summer, sure hope it is a good one.  Of course that means lots of riding and happy trails.  Congrats to Crazy Legs Team 74 for getting over 1000 miles already.  You go girl!!!  

This is mileage through May 31st, June 1 & 2 will be on next weeks leaderboard. Be sure that you look at your mileage and let me know if my math is wrong :-)
