November 24th Leaderboard Update

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I know we are all thankful that we have our horses and we can ride, whether is is 1 mile or 1000 miles, every mile is a blessing.  Happy Trails everyone.  With 1  rider over 2000 miles and 7 riders over 1000 miles this has been a dynamite year for riding.  Sure hope we get some good riding in in December :-)

November 17th Leaderboard

November 17th Leaderboard is here.  So surprised at how many people rode this week.   A BIG BRRR around here in the Midwest, I know I didn't even think of riding LOL.  

For those of you who are interesting in riding in a distance derby for 2015, the Michigan Derby has graciously opened up for all of us.  Please go over to http://michigandistancederby.blogspot.com/ for more information and to register.  I, for one, have already registered for 2015.  Hope to see you there :-)

Thanks to everyone who has been in the Distance Derby, so glad you rode with us.  Also a big thank you to Marvel for adding the wonderful Photo Contest this year.  It has been such fun to see all the awesome pictures shared this year.  

No Derby 2015

After careful consideration I have decided not to continue the DistanceDerby for 2015.

However, the Michigan Distance Derby will be continuing on and you have been invited to register for that derby if you would like to.

November 11th Leaderboard

So sorry to be late in getting this posted, but here it is :-)  Lots of riding this week as everyone tried to get a lot of miles during the beautiful week.  Yeow!! Yesterday I was riding with friends and in the morning it was 60* and I said I had on too many layers, by the time we stopped riding it was 40* and the wind was a windy 40mph.  Then last night we got snow!!  From 60* to 26* in one day!  That can take it's toll on our ponies!  Keep an eye on them.  Congrats to Team 74 - Crazy Legs with over 2000 miles!  Awesome Team!!

End of October Leaderboard

Well fall is officially here along with shorter days.  Happy for the first and the latter.....not so much.  But it is what it is :-)  October was a very fun month for riding for lots of us.  Two months to get to whatever your goal is whether it is 20 miles, 200 miles or 2000 miles, each goal is important for different reasons.  Hope everyone attains their goal by the end of the year.
